Orbwatch Members Report.

16th May 1997

MEMBERS PRESENT: J.J. D.M. J.M.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: Fair. Mild temperatures at about 7 degrees C. Very slight breeze, but water calm. Visibility good along shore, and across the lake. Lights very clear.

SET UP TIME: 20.45 hrs. D.S.T.

21.50 h. First orb appears at about 5 degrees elevation, going in a westerly direction. There are lights in the dark area which we have NEVER seen before. One of these lights is BLUE!

21.53 h. Another orange orb appears travelling west. D is getting bad ringing in her ears. Orb is still travelling west towards St. Catharines. Pulsating and seems to be rotating. Deep orange colour. 5 degrees elevation. He's going quite fast, actually. Really zipping along, there. He emerged from the usual spot, just over the white marker in the water. He is zooming along to St. Catharines. He is now coming up to the white flashing marker. Very close to the horizon. Now at 3 degrees, and going over the red flashing beacon. The beacon looks brighter(?) They always seem to go towards that red flashing beacon. D's got buzzing ears.

22.00 h. Big, big golden/orange orb appears around 8 degrees elevation. Seems to be rotating and pulsating. It is SO beautiful. Other two team members are just having a chat. Not even watching this guy!! He is now hovering, and appears to have increased in size! This guy is very bright. Deep, deep orange colour now. Burbling towards St. Catharines. You definitely get an impression of rotation. J....come and see this.

The orbs seem to start appearing about 5 minutes later each night.

He is just going over the white flashing marker, travelling in a westerly direction. He is a BIG one. He is now about a degree higher than when he first appeared. Still heading west. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A PLANE. He has dropped in altitude again. Maybe he had to go over a bump. As soon as we ask these guys something, they dim right down!!!!

PACK UP TIME DUE TO POURING RAIN: 22.15 hrs.

JJ
