Ten Workshops in Teaching Your Staff to Use the Head Start Outcomes Framework

I also continue to provide basic
workshops for programs
to energize seasoned staff and help newcomers learn the exciting and
complex
world of early childhood education. Some of the basic workshops are Child Growth and Development,
Individualization, Lesson Plans and Curriculum Webs, Outdoor Play, Room
Arrangement with Learning Centers and there are dozens
more.
All workshops are one-day events
blending explanations and discussions with hands-on activities to help
teachers learn and use the concepts presented.
Are these workshops effective? Yes.
As one education manager said when she wrote to schedule another
workshop: "The training you did for the teaching staff a couple of
years ago was wonderful! The evaluations after your training were
outstanding. We have a lot of new staff since then and we also want all
staff to participate in the training . . ."
I can do the same for your staff. All workshops are individualized to meet program needs. Every workshop supports Head Start initiatives including literacy, social and emotional development and outcomes. I have helped hundreds of programs meet their training or staff development goals. I have provided training to Head Start and child development programs across the United States and for the U. S. Military around the world for twenty-five years. I am a college teacher and have been a trainer, teacher, program director and parent.
